It’s been a couple of weeks since I updated. Funny how life gets in the way of what you’d really like to be doing…
The cases and frames are mostly done and dry-fit. There’s a little tweaking still, but nothing really major. I still need to decide on how to join the face frames. I’m torn between dowels or taking the dive and getting a plate joiner. Good excuse for a new tool…
Next real step will be getting the dividers on the wide cabinets cut to final length and deciding on the joinery.
Next big step will be the doors. There will be 10 of them, all glass with dividers. I’m hoping to be able to do them will without dropping $120+ on a rail and stile bit set. At least if I have to go that route, my new Porter Cable router with 1/2” and 1/4” collets will be able to handle it.
I don’t expect much progress again this weekend. Life and work getting in the way again.
