The mind boggles on this one. Any ideas on how it’s done?
Thanks Andy

Very well done video editing, mostly split-screen. Here’s an earlier version with a goof in it that’s since been corrected. Watch the boy’s arm.

Yeah I was going to say mirrors. Was this released on April 1, by any chance?

As above I was sucked in as well.
then spent all afternoon researching the subject, good thing it was raining at my place!
Just goes to show don’t believe anything you read and now don’t believe everything you see on videos.
In its defence its a very well done hoax !

We were often schooled to not always believe what we see, and to always ‘look’ through what we saw if we did not believe. This has saved my bacon many times.
Pretty cool trick though.

I found the stairwell myth project on Kickstarter a while ago. At the time a Google search of “RIT stairwell” would bring up the Kickstarter project itself on the top of the first page. I never imagined it would take off. My son graduated from RIT a few weeks ago. I spent a good amount of time on campus with unknowing family to prank, but I had forgotten all about it. Just as well I guess, I’m in enough trouble with them already. -Jack
