This is a box I made for my wife for her birthday.

We are avid fans of the Art & Crafts style.

It is QSWO with a Motawi tile.

She already had a couple of tiles that I had not framed so I chose one …........
Of course, she chose the other.

The tile can be switched by removing a mounting plate in the back.

This box is from Wood magazine a few years ago.

My daughter found an old umbrella stand last year and did a rough sketch for me for future reference.
After looking at it I realized it was an original Limbert #253.

I decided to build it for her as a Christmas gift.

It is all QSWO with mortise and tenon joinery.

The copper drip pan was formed by a friend at a local business.

I finished this pergola this summer.
It overlooks the pond and backyard.

It is approx 14’ x14’.
The patio beneath it is flagstone .
We hung an old wrought iron fence section on the back as a trellis for clematis.

I have also included a view from the pergola.

The plan is for building Adirondack chairs this summer.

I have had this old Disston backsaw around my shop for quite a while.

Although functional it was less than pleasing to the eye.

One evening while looking at it I decided to dress it up a bit and scheduled it for surgery.

I removed the handle and started working with my rasps on the old ugly handle.

After a bit of work this is what I came up with.
I believe the handle is beech.

Patterned off of one of my old saws it not only looks better but feels so much better as well.

I use this saw much more frequently than in it’s prior life.

I made this valet for my son.
It is made with cherry and walnut.

The top is a piece of deerskin.
Black velvet inside the drawer.

The original design was from wood magazine years ago that I changed to suit my taste.

This is a reproduction of a Limbert #255 waste paper basket..
Made with air dried walnut…..............got tired of looking at plastic!

Finish is clear shellac and paste wax.
