After the woodwork was finished on the doors, we decide we should remove the carpet after all.

I know the old hardwood floors below are not salvageable. Walls and built ins have been moved or removed.

So now it is time for hardwood floor.

This is nice work. I have found that laying hardwood is a satisfying woodworking project in itself. Nothing transforms the appearance of a room like the addition of a new hardwood floor.

I wish I had a hardwood floor rather than concrete.
