Welcome to LJ. Where in central Illinois are you? I am from the Springfield/Decatur area. My folks are now outside of Effingham.

I am actually Northern part of Central Il. in Streator.
I have heard that central Il is South of I-80. Puts me in central by about 15 miles.

I am from Illiopolis, which claims to be the geographic center of the state (as do others). I found out at SIU that many folks considered Springfield/Decatur to be in “Southern Illinois.” I guess it is all in your perspective.

I’m in Columbus Indiana..Just South…No, maybe a little North of…..well just about in the middle of no-where Indiana.
