Part 1: Ready for the sides

Now that I’ve finished a few other projects and the doctor has cleared me to start working again, I am back on my serving tray project. I finished sanding two marquetry pieces I made a few months ago and put a seal coat of shellac on the pieces. The next step is working on the side pieces. Today I did some trimming of the side pieces on the table saw and tomorrow I need to set the router table to refine the rabbets for the bottom pieces. Here is a picture of one of the bottom pi...

Part 2: milled the sides

I set up the router table this afternoon and cut the rabbets for the tray sides. Next I have to cut the bottoms to size. No pictures today. Next time.
