Just getting interested in woodworking and researching projects. Mostly as a consumer and appreciator. My parents had a number of things made for them by a woodworker in West Chester, PA, such as their huge four poster, and left me with a life-long appreciation.

I especially like your cypress tables. May I ask what you are using to get that lovely brown on the cypress? Or, what goes on the lighter tables? Can you use any commercial stain and is a polyurethane appropriate to prevent damage from food and beverages?
Thank you,
Gnome

Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.

To get the most feedback on your projects, it’s best to only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.

Please enjoy your membership.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Wisty
