This is a giant storage unit I just finished. I made it because I needed a place to put vanity items like hairdryer and lotions etc. I had a big seven foot bookcase and thought that I could mount a full length mirror on the back of it. Then I imagined the whole thing built on top of a heavy movers dolly. It grew from there. Oddball pieces of scrap wood made their way to the unit as I built it from the bottom up. It is rough and painted with flat white paint and then alkyd. I know that this is not a piece of art like the wonderful work on this site. But I am enjoying using it! It is easy to clean and rolls around effortlessly. I guess my projects are out of necessity and my ability is in making something from nothing, or almost nothing. Thank you all for your fantastic work. I DO love the beauty of wood by the way! My recycled pieces are all painted for obvious reasons. They are made up with ugly scrap wood and need to unified visually. I have a glowing old burled wood veneer dresser I would never paint and intend on repairing with help from users on this site!
