Well, I finally have a workshop/storage room. It is small (about 12×18) but, hey, it’s mine!! Actually the room has been completed for a couple of weeks but I have not had time to do much except find a place for the storage (Thank goodness, I have a pretty good amount of “attic” space above the workshop). Today, I finished my workbench. Nothing fancy and not as pretty as some I see on this site. To be honest, it has a couple of corners that are not 100% square but it is level, strong and sturdy. It isn’t the fanciest design… but again, it is mine and I built it!!

Now I need to find a project, but I don’t think that will be hard to do. The first thing that I know I need is more storage shelves and cabinets!!! Any suggetions for a beginner??

How about some shop cabinets? These are nice skill building projects that are well worth the time and effort that go into them.

The most fun thing to do is look at LJ’s shops and search online for others and then try to plan your shop that optimizes your space as much as possible while keeping it functional. And remember, You will acquire more stuff so you don’t have to fill every cranny at the outset. Have fun!
