John came back to town and we erected the Lumber Loft. The fit was pretty good, meaning it only took moderate persuasion with the dead blow, crowbar, screws and dowels through joints, and shims under one foot.
John designed, cut, and installed the cornice. We attached the shelf with a French cleat. With the cornice, pegboard, and shelf in place the loft is rock solid (well, wood solid at least.)
I’m now working on mounting a shelving unit (AKA prototype wine rack) above the shelf on the left, and building some shelving for the tool bench.
Enough writing; it’s time to go build!
