I bought a box of cut offs from rockler and this is one of the pieces. I am making a pen out of it and would love to know what kind of wood it is to tell the person I am gifting the pen to.ThanksJim

HELP hole in wood - 7 replies

I was turning this piece of wood to make a box and found a hole it wasn’t there on the surface of the wood. (no idea of what kind of wood) can I use this to fill it in and continue turning?

Raiseing the blade on my table saw - 3 replies

My saw from the left side note the height adjustment wheel is lopsided and whobles and there is no handle making rasing and lowering the blade a drag. so i grabed a 1/2” deepwell socket of my ratchet and now it easy a pie.
