Bathroom Towel Holder

So here is a little towel holder I made tonight. I don’t get the best of a finish but it seems to be getting better every time I do it. Here I used Acrylic for the black then I did my stain over it. I wanted to see how it would come out or if I would have runs or something in the stain from the black. It seems to have come out good. I had to put the Fleur de lis on it since I am a New Orleans boy after all.

Sorry the first pic was not to good so I added another with a better view

This was my first project with 2 colors. I made it from pallet wood since I can mess up as much as I want just starting out and it is all free.

10 min ugly router table

So I have been needing a router table for some time. Two problems one I have very little space and two if I went out an just spent $100 on one with a baby on the way my wife might not be to happy with me. So after watching some of Steve Ramseys videos I figured I could just build one cheap. Well the space was still a problem so I decided to see if this idea would work and for what it is I could not have asked it to work better. One side has legs and the other side I can clamp to my current work bench. When I am done just pop off the clamps and put it out the way. I still need a fence for it and would like it to look a little better but for now it will get the job done.

Here are a few Christmas gifts I made the first is a little candle holder made from some pallet wood I had sitting around. I want to thank Goddahavefun for the idea since I am new to woodworking it was something kind of easy I could make. The second is just a wine glass holder. Both were easy to make but help me get more practice.
