I’ve been wanting a Jointer for a while. Since I have a small garage shop and woodworking is only a hobby I have been looking at the Grizzly and Ridgid 6” jointers. Did I mention I’m cheap too? Anyway the Ridgid normally sells for $429. I went to HD today to buy something else and went down the tool aisle, to drool as usual, and they had the Jointer for $324!! Well I couldn’t pass that up so it’s sitting out in my truck in the parking lot and I am counting the minutes until I get off work and can go home to put it together!

Yep, just strolling the isles. No good has ever come from that.
Congrats on the new jointer. Being able to dimension your own stock is a good thing. I have a similar jointer. Only problem with it is that now I want a bigger one. Fortunately like yourself the size of the shop keeps that a want and not a need.
