I do believe this is the second time around for me at LJ! I know I had a membership before, but lost it somewhere in the depths of the internet.

Purely avocational woodworker now but mostly a book and ephemera person whose primary interest are the titles of early tools, trades and industries. I'm years behind in my woodworking as the whole book thing takes up so much of my attention. Not that I am complaining, mind you. With an early retirement this year, I expect to get back into working the wood.

Otherwise, I live in Massachusetts in a smallish mutt farm house with my wife and a varying number of Maine Coon Cats. Ex-librarian, Ex-rehab counselor, Ex-architectural cabinetmaker and Ex- a variety of other occupations over my lifetime.

Looking forward to checking in on what is going on here in the LJ world.

Gary

Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.

To get the most feedback on your projects, it’s best to only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.

Please enjoy your membership.

And someday I’ll get a photo taken of myself to replace the little woodworker! I simply never get around to it.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
