Hello All,

First of all I wanted to thank Martin for making this site what it is. I also want to thank all of you for making this site such a great place. What a great place it is where we can all come together to discuss what we love, woodworking!

When I see a contest announced I can’t help myself from taking up the challange and doing the best I can. The prizes aren’t the most important thing to me, but trying to take things one step further than anything I’ve ever done before.

That being said I am going to give my first place prize to the second place winner (Dan) and he will in turn give
his second place prize to the third place winner (CharlieM1958).

I will however be keeping the Overall Winner Trophy and First Place Plaque. That is all the reward I need. That and the votes it took from all of you for me to get them.

So once again I want to thank you all for your support and votes.

Best Regards,
Gary

I should have joined. I think mine would landed last and following the pattern I should get the prize. Hehehe!

Congratulations ‘Dre!

I was hoping Gary would fess up to this act of generosity….because I was going to have to tell on him sooner or later. :-)

You are a real class act, GaryK!

(I will happily scarf up the hand-me-down prizes. <g>)

Gary, what a nice thing to do! I’m sure Dan and Charlie are both very appreciative. Your work is fantastic, you sure deserved to win and your projects are always inspirational to me. You know, the old ”How did he do that!” thing… I look forward to seeing your entries in future contests.

I am very impressed Gary. You sir are a craftsman and a gentleman. That is a very nice thing to do, and it really speaks volumes about your character and what you say about wanting to participate, not for the fabulous prizes, but to challenge your self and your ability’s. Without a doubt you have proved to me and everyone else on here that you always seem to rise to the challenge! You also serve as an invaluable source of information, and and incredible source of inspiration….I know when I see you have posted something I can’t wait to look!
