A lot of you probably have noticed that I havn’t been posting a lot lately. Well after 10 days in europe I have only being able to post every once in a while when I got the chance.
Look like I have less then 20 days to make something for the summer awards contests. I was wondering if you guys (and gals) thought if this would qualify as junk recycled wood?
I was in a machine shop about a month ago and they had just got a new machine from some place in Asia. It came packed in a crate of some type of real hard wood. So I grabbed a couple of pieces:
I have no idea what kind of wood it is.
.
.
.
The oak dowel is a piece I accidently sat on.
Would you think it qualifies?

I would say that since the wood was not designed to be furniture, they considered it “junk” so go for it!

Your recycling it from a pallet, so I would say its recycled wood. Good luck!!

To me it qualifies. Since it is from a pallet it probably would have been tossed in the dumpster or converted into btus. Go for it!!!!!
By the way I wondered what was going on with you. I just assumed that you were on either tied up on something around the house or on vacation. I am sure you enjoyed yourself. Glad to have you back.

Gary, I never thought I’d say this about one of your posts, but… “This is pure junk!”
Glad you’re back and had a safe trip.

Yes to the junk….......
I’m really interested to know what you see in that “scrap” .... Maybe a baby grand piano or something?.. :-)
