Cannister dust collector

I have an off the wall (generic) brand dust collector. It’s a Reliant that I bought about 8 years ago.

I was looking to replace the upper bag with a canister filter.

My problem is I can’t find any information on the diameter of the canisters. My Reliant has a diameter of 19”.

I don’t know what or if there is a standard diameter.

I’m hoping that some fellow lumberjock has one that they could measure it for me.

Otherwise it’s hit and miss.

Thanks

Hi Gary, I just ordered a cannister from Penn State. Mine is 14.5”, so I had to order C on this page.

Maybe you can check with them for your size. I notice theirs is 19.5”, you may be able to use it with a

foam filler gasket.

I now have 5 micron bags on mine, that was the finest they had at the time.

Mine have been plugging up on me lately.

I’m now waiting for UPS !

Don’t know if this will help but this generic unit takes a 19-5/8” canister.

I have found that if you call grizzly and ask for the technical department.. NOT SALES, they can help you almost 90% of the time. They have great folks that are willing to dig deep and get you the info you need. I am a big fan of their equipment but even a bigger fan of their people.

I have the Wynn canister filter on my HF dust collector, it is 17 1/2” in diameter, but Wynn makes other sizes as well. I suggest, go to their web site.

Ditto on Wynn. I’m not sure what your Reliant is similar to but they have a list of DC’s and how to fit their filters on them.
