I knew when a fellow LJ’r Tom Francis told me about this site, that is was something special. Little did I know!! I was perusing the projects recently and saw a new workbench posted by Don Husslein. The bench was beautiful, but what really caught my eye was had attached to it an old Gripmaster vise system. I was given one of these in a box, i.e. no instructions, no pictures, no nothing but the pieces. Well, lo and behold, here is one on a work bench, and had made the remark to Don that I had one on his post, but that I didnt have any instructions on it, and was going to have to write the manufacturer to see if they still had one.
Well, seems he had a copy on a CD and sent it to me. Offered to pay shipping on it, but he would not take it. So, Don thanks for the CD, I got in the mail the other day and cant wait to watch it. Only reason I havent yet is that I am starting to build a 12×24 shed to clear out my garage so that I can turn it into my new workshop. But that is another blog, to sart shortly. Thanks again Don.

It was a pleasure – honestly. The GripMaster can be very helpful or completely baffling. The video really helps. If you need some of the written instructions I can have my wife copy a few of the pages into a PDF and email them to you. Enjoy it. For 30 years it sat in the box because I didn’t have a workbench. I am now able to use it to it’s fullest.

There are Videos and instructions for Gripmaster, at web site link here

Note: Multi-purpose vise systems are branded with either Z-2, JML, Vise Master, Grip Master or Master
Vise. All are produced by the same manufacturer.
