Lousy Week

The whole week has been a real bummer. Simple little things all adding up to make this past week one to forget, like….the cat got up on the bench and knocked over a pint of black dye….all over some curly maple. I walked between two benches not remembering the fan cord and the fan hit the floor bending the cage. A chicken got into the shop and pooped on 4 pieces of QS Oak. Our oldest mare, the real pet of them all had to be put down yesterday…bummer
I went to the shop to get my mind off the mare. While doing some mundane work, I noticed 3 pieces I cut were exactly backwards from what they need to be. As I was sitting there, wondering just how I could have done such a stupid thing, I looked up and saw this…..

Is that thing grinning at me or am I just imagining things?????

WOW… that’s a Bad Week…

It could have been worse…

That chicken could have gotten into the Black Dye & in the process of chasing it out of the shop, fluttered all over the place giving everything a nice splatter of Black Dye! LOL

Sorry about your mare… the real bummer…

Hope its all out of your system now… Next week MUST be better than the last one!

Let’s hope so…

I had to look at the picture twice – then I got it. Funny!

really sorry gary about the mare, i love horses and i know she must have been a real part of your family and life there, its hard on the heart when we loose something we love…and then to have insult added to injury…but in the end, nothing like the porter cable company to send a machine to heal things..lol…...yea i have 2 of those…and they do smile a lot, probably more so then actually sand, i dont care for them, they have those rubber bands inside, i like my sanders to sand, rpms are needed for me…im going back to makita…i had those before the PC’s… and i liked them a lot, i thought well i can get 2 of the cheaper ones…but live and learn…...tomorrow is monday, a new week, start it out with a happy smile that things will be good…the good lord has smiled on you and your a blessed man…i believe the lord will give you your beloved animals back…and maybe you think that too. ill give you a call later ion the week, ive been meaning to anyway…have wanted to update you and also see whats going on with you…grizz

Gary, So sorry about your mare. I too need to whine about my weekend! I was 30 miles from home and my truck wouldn’t start, finally got it started and arrived home (where my wife was having a baby shower) to learn that the AC had died (it was 105 outside) and I was faced with a bunch of unhappy women. Ac guy came out today and it will be $3-4000 to replace. Oh well, I just try to remember that things could be A LOT worse.

Dude, you need a “reset” event. You just need to figure out what that is?

Gary, sorry to hear of such and eventful week, especially the mare. That’s a toughie that’s hard to recover from. Time helps. As for the rest of it, I’d recommend following the advice of your sander-grin and get up and go again. By now you’ve figured out a way to use the miscuts, cleaned up the chicken crap and well, I figure you get it. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry to hear it’s been a tough week, I had to help my wife put down her horse that she’d had for 17 years last year and it was horrible. Hopefully things will look up for you. At least you’re all in one piece and it doesn’t sound like your week was as bad as the one this guy had?

Doesn’t look like you’re gonna get your boxes Grizz
Andy, I’d almost trade your week for that mare but, at least she’s not in such pain any longer. Hope your AC is keeping you cool.
Yeah, Rick, I’m back at it. Those thoughts still linger in the back of the mind
Hey jcox, that looks familiar. I believe I felt that guy’s pain when it happened
