I am new to woodworking having just started in 2009, I've always wanted to do woodworking and always wanted to make my own craftsman, arts and crafts and mission style furniture and now in my late 40's I have the opportunity. I was a tool and die maker in my teens and early 20's so I have a bit of a head start and I love working with my hands and with wood.

My professional work is in the telecommunications engineering field.

Update Nov 2011 - I have a couple of years behind me and my shop has grown exponentially, my work is getting better too but I am no where near where I hope to be. The words and works of Gustav Stickley and Harvey Ellis and now ingrained in my brain.

Welcome. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Work safe in the shop and don’t forget to use pushsticks.
