I am finished with the headboard and footboard. I still need to work on the long rails.
I planned on inlaying a ‘P’ in the center footboard slat, but I was unhappy with the way it turned out and left it out.

P.S.
I was recently laid off from my job as a medicinal chemist. If you know of anyone looking for a hard working and very qualified medicinal chemist (Ph.D. with 6 years experience) please let me know. -Thanks

Brian,
Sorry to hear about the lay off…it seems no one is safe these days. Think of the positive you get to spend more time with the family right now and more time woodworking while you search for a new job. Anyway the bed is turning out beautifully and I cannot wait to see the finished product. I bet your son will sure love it.
