Njarrrrrrr !!!!
Man I’m itching to work on my ‘butterbox’, but it is only Tuesday night, & it’s still a long hike to saturday before I can get back to the clubhouse to progress PROJECT-1.

I have been to the 2 DIY shops in town to look at woodworking tools, but it’s quite clear (and yes, I know very little at this stage, but still) that the tools they have is not going to go the distance. Mitre-10 don’t even have table saws, and Bunnings only stock 1 ‘decent’ looking tablesaw. Common sense tells me to be patient & accept that I can only do woodwork on saturdays – that is until I know exactly what tools I want to buy.

I guess the frustrating part is that I can’t wait to finish my first project, & not having any tools at home just drives me bonkers. And seeing all the projects from my fellow LJ’s coming in thick & fast makes my toes itch !!!

I will have to make a list of all the tools I must have, (note I said must, not want to), and then gradually acquire them… without the other half ahem…. (noticing)...

Yes, a long wait is painful. Can’t you do work at night?...doesn’t the club open at night? Sounds like stupid question right.
Or if you are planning to own machine tools, I supposed there are quite a number decent stores in Australia.
Check out these stores if they can ship to your area FOC or minimal shipping charge.

Hope it helps.

Hi woodworm,
The club is open on Tuesday nights, & I do go, but usually get away from work a bit late, thus only have an hour before they lock up. The club is also open one day a week for those who are retired, but I have another few decades to go before I’m there !
Hmmmm…. maybe need to win the lotto….

Yes, I saw there is pretty good shops in Sydney & Melbourne, but both is over 5H00 drive away, so I will do my homework, & read lots of reviews, so I know exactly what I do want when I go & visit them.

Best news is: Tomorrow is…. SATURDAY !!! No guesses what I’ll be doing !
