        <![CDATA[<p><img alt="lift lid box" src="http://lumberjocks.com/assets/pictures/projects/22131-196x130.jpg" /></p><p>3.75&#8221; square, curly maple, top of cherry, maple dyed with light golden oak, finish is several coats of shellac rubbed out through 12,000 then waxed. i generally rub out all my smaller pieces and keep trying different combos of finishes. by and large i&#8217;m not satisified with most mainly due to application lines or drying times. i tend to pad on most finishes. some i spray, brushing on is rare.</p>


	<p>side note: i bought and used a forrest woodworker II blade for the first time a few boxes ago and the cuts are so much better than anything i&#8217;ve ever experienced before that i doubt i&#8217;ll use anything else from now on.</p>
