Ontario has released it’s annual “sunshine list” – the names and salaries of all public sector workers making over $100,000. Do our civil servants make too much?

Restoration and tip

This is a restoration project it was painted white new and I notice by looking under the chairs that it was hard maple painted at the factory white so I took it all apart I had just a big pill of wood , used some remover and a lot of sanding than I glued everything back together and varnish everything by hand , I am telling you it was a big job I would not do it again I would build one instead, I made the mistake of not taking a photo when it was all apart.
It was easy to take apart as at the factory they don’t use much glue, but the way I put it back together with glue and brad nails it will last a very long time.
I have worked close to two weeks on the project.
The tip is before you through some thing away have a look how it was build and if it is real wood, I was going to sell it for a few dollars and buy a new one big mistake I would have done.

Dark cherry

Someone today gave me 4 boards about 4 feet long each and said that it was dark cherry I would not know and he has some for sale but does not know the price ,can someone tell me if it is good wood and what price it is going for,those few boards are to sample them

I got this from buddy, albut , he was telling me that if you need a mini table saw to carry around you take a wet tile ceramic saw and replace the blade with a wood blade….we have a sale here was $149.99 sale price $48.88

Gluing

I have found out that when cluing boards together the glue that comes out when tightening your clamps not to use a wet rag water will weaken your glue insead before it dries completely use a scraper to remove the glue that comes out

Band saw

Anybody can tell me how to use a small 14in band saw , I had mine for 3 years and I cannot follow a line with it so I use my jig saw and the band saw is sitting in the corner
