Jacob Fuhrer's Workshop

United States

That pretty much sums it up. The major tools I have are a table saw, planer, and miter saw. I can only use one machine at a time and by that I mean when Im done using one i have to move it, bring the other one out plus it in and use it,then repeat again. The miter saw is on the ground because there is no room anywhere else. All finishing and assembling is done outside so I have to carry all the pieces up the basement stairs and outside then bring them back inside if I can without the house stinking of finish. There is no dust collection so sweeping is a MUST every day. While being able to touch both wall at the same time can get to be pretty annoying, it gets the job done. Im thankful for what I have and I just wanted to show everyone that they are lucky. lol

It look’s real cozy, as long as it works for you that’s all it matters. You don’t need a big fancy shop to put out quality work.

A college friend of mine had a “Micro Shop” similar in size to yours, in an 8×10 I think it was shed… We built the cabinets for his kitchen remodel out of that little shop. Yes, we had to do a LOT of the work outside, but it was all good… And a dedicated space sure beats having to share space with other storage tasks…

Way to lay on the guilt trip, Jacob!

Previous comment was right on though… better a cozy space than to have to share… or even no space at all!

At least you have a solid floor! I’m planning on pouring concrete in my shop next month…
