This is my second go-around at woodworking, after taking a few years off to devote time to training horses and working with riding students. A "senior citizen" woodworker, I discovered turning a year or so before closing down the shop. Am currently (June, 2015) rehabbing all my tools, chasing the spiders out of the 3 lumber piles, and getting ready to turn on the lathe again. Registered at Lumberjocks previously as "forestgirl" several years ago, but couldn't resurrect the registration. Looking forward to learning from the members here!

Thanks for the welcome, Dale, it’s good to be back. Should be turning something presentable soon, though have to go out of town for a couple days. Love the stories about your dad building his house, and you and your family/friends renovating yours! Also like the way you’ve turned those splay-legged tool stands into dust-free storage. It really helps, doesn’t it? See ya around.

Welcome back to Lumberjocks, Forestgirl. Once the woodworking hobby bites someone it’s hard to ever walk away from it.

At first I could not figure out the no projects as it didnt equate to your knowledge now I understand and all is revealed!! you would make a great neighbour to chat with over the fence!!

Although I worked for Rockwlell/Boeing in Australia I remember they had a facility at Puget Sound many years ago.
