Last weekend I had high hopes for this weekend. Well, for me the weekend continues through today, thank you instructor in-service. I didn’t get a chance to go over to my local purveyor of metals before Saturday so I had to wait until Monday. There seamed to be some confusion as the brass was priced like gold. Today was a good shop day. I managed to get several hours in all at one go. Things started of with filtering through some restoration/reconditioning project possibilities which will make there way to LJ in the near future, then I moved on to the tear down of the tensioning system currently not working on the frame saw, followed by some think time to design the new blade holder in steel. Part 4: Done! Sort of...
I went down to the shop first thing this morning after breakfast and started with a little straightening up and extending a power strip up one wall so I could plug in a couple of scoop lights. One of my frustrations yesterday was the shadows kept showing up just when I needed more light, not less. With the lights up and in place I layed out everything to get this blade holder done.
