Bradenton, FL 34209
United States
March, 2010—Soon I will be a member of LumberJocks for a year, and I am still discovering more about what is here and how it works. I guess I should share something about my work shop. We have an extra deep two-car garage, and about two-thirds of it is devoted to my wood working hobby. More about that later.
For today, I took some photos of my dust collection system. Maybe “system” is the wrong word. I have a Dust Deputy attached to my Shop Vac, which I wheel around to where it is needed. I have had the Shop Vac for a many years, but the Dust Deputy is new. There are lots of ways to connect the Dust Deputy unit to the vacuum. I got lucky, I guess, because my model of Shop Vac had a built in attachment caddy, which I turned into the support for a plywood shelf for the 5-gallon Dust Deputy unit. And I happened to have some maroon paint that comes close to the Shop Vac color. The angle-bracket and the bungee cord hold onto the Dust Deputy. So far it works great. It is amazing how quick a 5-gallon pale gets filled with saw dust!! :-)
