no previous part Part 1 of not a whole lot of time series no next part

Hola Comrades

I have, in some respects been putting this off for a couple of weeks.. I miss the days when time seemed like something to laugh at and was only ever useful as the solution to hangovers, by sleeping through them… ALAS!!! i was wrong.. time has caught up with me and it’s time to think about that awful word… management. as in time management…

I am back in school and have to prioritize what i spend my time on once again… as always i put too much on my plate. and woodworking (despite trying to wean myself from it in preparation for school) wants to take up a lot of that time ;) and i am in fact a slave to the will of the force… and it is strong in the wood!

SO!! i must listen to the voices of the wood and i give you the inspiration for the next project.

what do you see?

you’ve got a dirty mind havnt you!! it is in fact 9 dolphins! tisk tisk… if you show the picture (and i’ll be careful about putting an age on this, because some people grow up faster than others) to a “young” child, they will not be able to see the man and the woman together in the picture… they will in fact only be able to see the dolphins, whereas I’m willing to bet that all of you saw the intimate aspect first, eh? ;)

i’ve always been fascinated by this picture, i have no idea who the artist is, though I am in full swing of trying to find out…

the plan is to do a marquetry version of this illusion in a serving tray. though this will quickly be subject to change should i think of anything better.. or should there be any better suggestions from you brilliant minds on LJ :)

hahahah, glad you guys cant see them either :)

i just had a suggestion and some wonderful inspiration from my girlfriend.. thus the project has been subject to change! :D

a serving tray is not suitable for this piece in any respect… now that i’m back at school I have access to a lathe and i will try my hands at turning a vase. the picture above will serve as motif for the vase :)

Ok! I ADMIT IT! I AM a dirty old fart. You didn’t have to prove it though. I studied that #$%& picture for twenty minutes and I still aint found the first %$#% dolphin.

BTW. I found nipples pretty easily though. (he says with a sly grin on his face)

I didn´t see it before I read the text :-) but I like it very much ..LOL
but I have always like theese kind of pictures where you use other things like the alfabet
or just draw it so it depends on what you focused on first that determ what you see
also those pictures there show a totely different face when you look at them opside down

and a serving tray would realy bee something to start the convesation around the table
no one wuold bee offended , so I say go for it Flemming :-)

take care
