Back from 2 nice weeks in greece with the old man. nice view, warm weather, not a drop of rain. was very good :) i brought small block of maple with me, my pen-knife and some inspiration in my head. had to spend a little bit of time doing something productive and not just bask in the sun all day. I can see a lot of you have been very very busy, and I’ll certainly get around to studying it all in more detail soon enough :)... what, who said i was addicted to LJ?...
anyway, Thors Hammer is not entirely finished yet, but here’s the progress so far and tomorrow i will hopefully be adding the final blog for this project and uploading it to the finished section. if anything, this will bring down expectations for my next, more focused project, heheh :)
I have some blue and green stone I’m going to crush and inlay the carvings with. first of all because i want to do some stone inlay on a bigger scale some day and need to see what it’s all about, and second (more importantly) because there was no way i could smooth out the carvings and need an easy cover up ;)
oh, the runes say “fate” from the old futhark.
