12 posts in 537 days Location: Wellington, NZ I'm a 35 year-old IT professional who has had a fascination with wood almost my whole life but who has never done any "proper" woodworking until the near future. My Dad (Alan) was a member on Lumberjocks for a while before he sadly passed away in July 2011. Almost all his tools will arrive with me in New Zealand at the beginning of January 2012 so then the proper woodwork can begin! My partner and I moved into our first home in mid-November and there's a small garage which will be full to the brim with these tools. Lots of organisation and layout considerations to be done to make sure I can actually work in the space I have. My partner has many projects for me to do (and I have a few of my own) so my hitherto almost-untested skills should improve fast! I'm looking forward to gaining from everyone's experience and advice and hopefully in the future I can offer some of my own. Happy New Year for 2012 to everyone! Gordon. Latest Activity
