Hello fellow LJ’s. Wifey asked me to seek help (imagine that). Lucky for me she was refering to wood awning design and fabrication. If you have any knowledge of them, please comment. Thanks and have a great day.

Bruce,
My daughter has a wooden window awning on her home in Washington State. They got the plan from her husbands Grandpa. It was out of Popular Mechanics back in the 50’s. I know that doesn’t do you any good but here is a link to a couple that I found on the net that might give you some ideas.

hey Bruce i put up a few pictures of the kayaks progress so far. Also, if your interested I have a copy of the “Popular Mechanics Home Handyman Illustrated Encyclopedia and Guide” voulume 1, 1962, that has a section on awnings. I would imagine it is the one mentioned above. let me know if you would like me to devise a way to get you a copy

Bob,
Thanks for the comment. The awnings project is on hold for a whille. BTW, I looked at your kayak progress around 530 this morning. I like the idea of using the laser to align your forms. Good luck with the project and I hope your fiance enjoys it.
