To my fellow Lumberjocks and Lumberjockettes,
Tommy MacDonald and the WoodExpo 2012 Team have published their ”Call For Entries” for the WoodExpo 2012 juried woodworking competition. By following the link provided below, you can get the news.

We LJ’s have a lot of gifted woodworkers here who should get involved. There are two competition categories again next year. The Open category allows you to design and build an item of your choice. The Next Step-Interpretive category gives you the opportunity to design and build your concept of the STEP STOOL. There are specific build criteria, so make sure your entry meets all of the requirements.
As always, there is no entry fee and the judges are not eligible for any of the prizes being offered. Last year’s contestants’ projects and the winners can be viewed on the WoodExpo 2011 link on Tommy’s site. If you did not know, Woodcraft, Oneida, Berkshire Veneer and others provided some really great prizes to the winners.
I look forward to seeing what our LJ Community can conjure up and build for the WoodExpo 2012 competitions. Good Luck and be safe in your shops.
