I noticed the cradle / glider project and I am very interested in talking to someone about this. I live in Russia and the Russian apartments are extremely small. I have some friends and they are going to have a baby in Feb. This would be perfect for them, however I need some advice on how to make it a cradle/glider for the baby and mom could sit in it as well. They don’t have enough room for rocking chairs etc. Mom and baby together would be about 130 lbs. Is this possible with the glider hardware to do this? I’m in the USA until 14th of Jan. 2008 and would like to build something like this while I’m here. I have a shop and had planned to build out of cherry…can you give me any help..
Thanks Fish

I sent you a private message with my concerns with giving you any further help with the making of the cradle that you are referring to.

Sorry.

Fish . . . what about modifying a gliding rocking chair plan. This would give you the strength required, and would be the same size as a chair. Check out Lee Valley
