Black Forest is about 25 miles SouthEast of Colorado Springs. My wife Judy and I own a small horse ranch. If I'm not in the barn or working in my office, I can most always be found in the wood shop. After years of watch Norm on TV I decided to build my version of New Yankee Workshop. We're fortunate to have the space on our property, and the ability to construct a dedicated building.
My interest is furniture design and construction. And I've been at it for more years than I'd like to remember. Specialties include Arts & Crafts, Greene & Greene, Stickley, and some Shaker interpretations.
I look forward to sharing what I've learned and learning more from other members.

Hi Guys,
Yep. I’ve got all my fingers left. But some close calls over the years, like many of us have had, I’m sure. Nickname comes from my wife. She’s told me that as long as I’ve got some fingers left after a project, how bad a woodworker could I be. Given the miles of wood I’ve cut, I’m either careful or just plain lucky.
I look forward to getting familiar with the site and reading some of the posts.
