This is my 1000th post so I thought I should make it special; so I will write about a great plane my great wife gave me for my birthday (its actually on Sunday but we were in Winnipeg visiting my brother and his wife so we had an impromptu birthday party there). On the Friday before my weekend o’sawdust I went the store closest to Lee Valley we have here in Brandon, Wooden Edge intending to buy just some nobs, T-nuts and mitre slot material for some jigs I was intending on making. Hello all, One of the great things about renovations is that it is really easy to rationalize a new tool purchase (or two so far). As part of the ongoing ceiling installation Jenn and I decided to buy not only the Dewalt drill, which I’ve already reviewed, but this circular saw. I’ve been using battery powered drills for several years now and have grown accustomed to the cord free nature and the power characteristics, but my two aging Craftsman drills are showing their age and were not up to the heavy duty demands of screwing up the ceiling in my garage so Saturday morning it was off to Canadian Tire and Home Depot I went.
