Well not too much has been done on the shop over the last while but I did manage to get into the shop for about thre hours today…uhh yesterday and get all but two fixtures back up on the ceiling. Its starting to get too cold to work in there now so I guess I will have to hold off until spring to get the rest of the ceiling up. Any body up for a ceiling installing bee?

Mark,

Maybe you need to rent a “salamander”. It will warm the shop in no time and you can work on the ceiling on even the coldest days!

Thanks Lew, I’d never heard of a salamander before. Heating the shop isn’t too much of a problem it is the melting of the snow on the roof causing ice dams which will ruin the shingles and gutters that worries me if (I don’t get the ceiling insulated).

Hello Matt, it is amazing how much more time you have once you dump the cable, you’ll see. I didn’t take any photos yet, the only thing that really changed was that more fixtures are in the ceiling now, kind of boring photos :-), besides its kinda dark in there because I can’t turn on the breaker yet because I still have bare wires hanging down from the ceiling. Don’t ask me how many times I’ve jumped when I’ve inadvertantly scraped my head on the wires… and then remember they aren’t live!

Thanks for the comments, it’s only – 8 C this morning and the shop was still above freezing so that is a good thing.
