I’ve been trying to learn to use the the various tools I’ve been accumulating but without an actual project they were just so many cut boards and dove tail joints.
Time to go for the ‘final exam’ so to speak.
I wanted something that would require boxes with various types of joints.

I settled for a sewing box with three layers and different size boxes on each layer.

The bottom layer is 20” x 10” made from 1/2” x 4 1/4” pine I had planed down from 1×12 shelving.
The joints are through dove tail.

I wanted to try different bottoms for the boxes so the bottom box has a rabbit cut around the bottom 1/4” x 1/4”. The bottom piece is another piece of 1/2” cut and rabbit cut to fit the box.

What a start, hope it all progresses as well
