Box making

I’m at the next level, making boxes.
This is my first attempt.
I used a Rockler router table box joint jig to cut 1/4” slots.
The first setup was off, I’m glad I used scrap to test it.
The lumber was 1×4 pine (3/4” wide).
I cut it down to 1/2” and used the cut off pieces to make the back.
My plan was to make two, them join them together as a top and bottom,
but the wife said we should let the grand kids paint them up and give them
to their mother for mothers day. Of course, I agreed.
