I'm a system engineer living way down in Southern Maryland. I'm orginally from Arkansas and moved to California in the beginning of 2005 right after college. After eight long years in the desert we moved back to a place that has trees at the end of 2012.
I begin woodworking in the winter of 2009 after buying our first home. Seeing how I needed tools to work on the house, I figured it'd be a good time to give woodworking a try. Though I have no formal training, not even shop class in high school, I've always been fasicianted by woodworking.
Small boxes have been my main interest over the last couple years, though I am starting to venture into other areas. I've built some new doors and drawers for our kitchen and redid our master closet a few years ago. I have ventured into the world of furniture yet, but I think that day is coming soon.
LumberJocks' has been like a second faimly to me over the few years. I have met some great people, learned more than I thought possible, and have been inspired by all the amazing work on this site. I can't even image trying to learn this wonderful art without the help of this site.
Thanks for looking.
Wooooo Pig Sooie!!!

David,
Just driving by and stopped to say hello. I spent a few weeks in Ridgecrest doing QC work at the local saw mill, boy does it get hot there and y’all grow the fattest rattlers I’ve ever seen!
Well, I’m off again visiting as much of this site as I can. You LJ’ers are great.
