Don’t ask how it got there.

You have to tell more or you’ll have to accept the assumptions that are bound to be made

I was putting a new fuel pump in the work van. Instead of taking the fuel filter down and undoing it I was going to leave it on the tank and just release the one hose. By feel I thought I had the clip free but the hose wouldn’t release. When I moved in to have a look it released. In a split second I closed my eyes and turned my head. Gas shot right in the ear and wouldn’t come easily out. EEEEEOOOOOOUUUUCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHH!
When I was putting the retaining ring for the new pump in I cracked the plastic flange and had to Super Glue it. I got glue on me fingers and didn’t have any Acetone. I sanded it off with 100 grit. I really need to get south.

Reminds me when I had just bought a diagphram assisted 5litre gravity feed spray unit.
I could not remember how to flush out the system. So I phone the supplier and while on the phone he says to push the little nipple on the thingamagig. I do this and immediatly the pressure builds up on the flush pipe.
Before I could react the pipe errected itself out the gravity feed holder like an out of control firemans hose.. And squirted about a cup full of dirty laquer thinners directly into my left eye from about 4 inches.
That was sore…
Sounds like you have gremlins following you too Jack

Know what you mean. I helped my stepson put one in his SUV a while back. Those things are not easy to do and the clip seem to break very easily. Hope you don’t get any infection from the gas in the ear.
