« Part 2: The Keeper Part 3 of If one writes a song can one post it here? series Part 4: setting the hard right »

will you light me a candle tonight
one that will glow on my path home
take my heart into your arms
back to you is all I long
no man knows which way a woman will go
he does not have a clue

oh the angel
looking down from above
down on me
saved my life a few times
I’m not saying it is one
that I see

will you ignite me a star in heaven
one that will lead me from the darkness
guide my soul I pray on to you
I will work hard to do the rest
no God knows which way a man will go
he doesn’t have a clue

there’s a war raging in my soul
for I have tasted much fruit
to give it all is the way I must now go
before the suffering bring suit
no man knows which way God will go
he doesn’t have a clue

oh the angel
looking down from above
down on me
saved my life a few times
I’m not saying it is one
that I see

These are really nice lyrics, Jack. I liked them so much I went back and re-read your other ones… :)
When are we going to hear these songs??? And what happened to the guy in your picture? He got a haircut and older- and in only one day!! Still handsome as ever though!! Keep ‘em coming… :-)
