I have been doing carpentry and millwork since I was 9 years old. I got my start in the 4-H program. My dad worked for a company that built displays and trade show booths. He started a small design and millwork company after being let go from his job at Boss Display in Columbus, Ohio. His was always a one man shop with his sons for help. Dad always made the coolest things and I had great pride in his work. I guess that is where I got a passion for building.

My "real job" is teaching 6th graders to read, write and solve proportions and inequalities. Although I love teaching, my true love has always been carpentry. More of a hobby for me than a profession. I am able to work on a couple of projects a year. Thankfully my wife encourages me to build things. Probably because they are mostly for our home. It is nice to be able to join a community like this and I look forward to what I can learn from all of you.

-- You know that guy who created trees? His kid was a carpenter. Go figure.
