I’ve been talking with Martin about an idea to raise some money for Lumberjocks. During the first or second week of February, I will donate several high-end, highly figured woods or lots of wood to be “auctioned” in the trade and swap forum. All funds raised will go directly to the site.
I’ll get the final details worked out and update on this blog. I’m thinking about starting with 3 different items/lot for auction.

#1 A green, highly figured Bastogne Walnut turning blank.

#2 20 pen blanks that will be all figured or burl woods. Most of the pen blanks will be from woods that are not usually available or a higher quality than can be found commercially.

#3 A dry Redwood burl block or billet.

I’ll post updates and photos of the wood to be auctioned on the blog soon.

Eric.

Sweet idea. To bad I’m broke, I’d bid on something to help the site.

Is this site doing that bad? I dont know how much bandwidth this site uses but it cannot be much. May I suggest voluntary yearly dues. Send me a voluntary bill. Ill pay it.
