US Army retired, stay at home Dad.
Completely self-taught woodworker. I've never had any formal or informal woodworking training. So far, it has all been trial and error, magazines, books, videos, pictures, and the Internet guiding me. I'd love to get some formal training, but I'm limited currently because I live in Germany.
I have learned that having the right tools makes the job easier. Looking back I can't believe some of the things I've built in the past with the few tools I had at the time.
I've started selling some of the things I make. It isn't enough to earn a living, but it is enough to buy more wood!
