Retired as Police Chief after 37 years in Law Enforcement. Now doing woodworking on a semi full time basis and really enjoy making sawdust. I am also attempting to fine tune my golf game which means trying to keep the ball in the fairway where I can find it. I am having a great time in retirement.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Hello all,
I have been involved in woodworking for a few years and I have a one man shop in my garage. I was recently diagnosed with neck cancer and they operated on August 4th to remove my lymph nodes and they will begin chemo and radiation treatments on the cancer area they located on the back of my tongue, in three weeks. The doctors feel I can return to woodworking by the end of the year if I have a good dust collection system, which I don’t,. Currently I have a shop vac that is connected to my table saw or router table as needed. Any recommendations for a dust collection system that is effective and affordable would be appreciated.
Thanks,
El
