I grew up in the south but have been living in Massachusetts for nearly 10 years. I work in electronics by profession, but I gained a love of woodworking by being around my parents. They are the ultimate DIY'ers, and have been remodeling their turn of the century house for... about 30 years. hahaha I did carpentry and construction in the Marines, but really only learned enough to make a mess. Now, I'm learning as I go, and if I'm not watching the DIY channel or something with Norm, I'm probably trying to design a new project for myself or for a friend. I have dabbled in carving, and continue to play with that aspect of woodworking, too.
I appreciate any and all comments, tips, helps, etc. If I come across something I can provide insight on, I'll offer it. I look forward to chatting with you all.

Hello Echofive,
Let me welcome to LJs. I am sure that you will find being a member of this group to be both a rewarding and an inspirational part of your woodworking adventure.
