no previous part Part 1 of Bandsaw series no next part

At long last, I finally am getting a bandsaw for my home shop. Its going to be the Craftsman 14” bandsaw, and I’m going to pick it up on Saturday. I like this one because it can cut up to 8 inches thick, which is a little better than some other 14 inch models. I plan on doing some resawing with it because I want to start adding some inlays to my projects. Cant wait to use it.

I’ll be interested to see your thoughts on its performance once it comes in.

I bought the same saw about 3-4 weeks ago. That is my first band saw. I had a problem with the thrust bearing not having enough travel to keep the teeth off the alignment bearings while using a 1/8 inch blade. I used a Dremel to take a very small part of the block off so the bolt would move forward enough. I like the saw a lot….. Smooth.
