Basic Bed Frame #2: Time Flies - Everything takes longer than expected

When I posted the first chapter in this build I expected that I was going to finish off the “few” details left to complete the construction portion in a day or two…...10 days later, I’m finally moving on to finishing. A 1” cleat was screwed and glued to the side rails for the bed slats to rest on. The slats will help keep the frame square and eliminate the need for a box spring. After boring out the bolt hole for the bed bolt, the hole for the cylindrical nut was drilled into the side rails, 3-1/2” from the end. I used a metric bit that was slightly larger than the diameter of the nut and also drilled it a bit deep to provide some room to maneuv...
