Hey guys,

It has been almost a year, and what a year!!!. We moved locations, hired more people, and tripled business. No wonder I haven’t had time to update my stuff. Man do I have alot of pictures to post. lol. I hope everyone is having a great start to the new year. Above and beyond the business challenges this last year, I also had to make 2 week long trips to Florida to get full custody of my kids. Talk about a mentally stressfull year. But I am proud to say I now have 2 new employees. Cody, my ten year old shadow, and CJ, the 13 year old know it all. We have gone from 2 employees to 5 employees this year (not counting the boys). Went from the garage (remeber the temporary location?), to a 1200 foot shop, and now have over 3500 square feet, including a 500 foot finishing room. I was fortunate enough to run into a very good finisher that took alot of burden off me. In addition we just remodeled our 500 square foot showroom/office area in the West Michigan Home Center, which is right across the parking lot from our shop. Kathy, my fiance and partner, and helper, and bookkeeper, and gopher, and whatever else is needed has been helping to relieve the extra stuff that goes along with the business. I don’t know how she handles everything that she does. And now with the boys in the house, that work load has gotten bigger. I didn’t know there was so much to do around the house!!!!. lol. We used to have this little arrangement, I handled the work, she handled the books and the house. With my boys being here now (that just happened in the last month) I have felt the need to not work my 14 to 16 hour days and actually leave when the guys do so I can be home to help. Man, talk about work!!!. Dinner and clothes and “pick up your room” and “don’t leave your shoes in front of the door” 14 times a night. lol. I love it!!!! Anyways, I will get some pictures of our projects up from the last year. We are currently doing a kitchen almost every 2 weeks, so I have alot to update. Again I hope everyones year is starting off a good as mine. It’s good to finally have the time to sit down and write a little.

Stressful, maybe. A good year, for sure.

Hi Chris;

Welcome back!
A lot of us have gotten a little behind in our postings. (not physically) LOL Too busy living to have a life!

Sounds like you have had quite a year, but it sure beats sitting on your hands, looking for something to do.

I’m looking forward to seeing your posts.

Best wishes for the New Year!

Lee
